About
In 2016, Ren Hang collaborated with The Skateroom, a Brussels-based platform that combines contemporary art with skate culture. This collaboration resulted in a limited edition of art skateboards featuring some of his most famous photographs.
With this edition, Ren Hang's aesthetic provocation and poetic imagery were transferred to a new medium – from the gallery to the street. The project combined art, design, and social engagement, as a portion of the proceeds benefited international social and skate projects.
Today, the collaboration between Ren Hang and The Skateroom is regarded as a collectible and a symbol of the rebellious spirit and artistic freedom that have made Ren Hang's work famous worldwide.
