Encostas de Alqueva Extra Virgin Olive Oil 6 x 750ml
Alentejo Region

description
Our history merges with that of the Bio family. It is born from this family's passion for their origins, land, people, and the preservation of their identity. A story that begins on the left bank of the Guadiana, in the interior of Alentejo, but which today extends to other regions of the country. Always with the same philosophy and determination—to contribute to preserving the best of Portuguese identity and valuing its people.
Alentejo is the birthplace of Abegoaria, and it is here that the greatest diversity of projects can be found, each as varied as they are rich in experiences. Adega Granja Amareleja sets the standard for the tradition and quality of wines from the left bank of the Guadiana. Amareleza Vinhos reflects the irreverence of its main creator, winemaker José Piteira. An unconditional master of ancestral winemaking techniques in the region – the famous carved wines. Herdade da Madeira Velha is the benchmark for the quality of Évora Monte wines. Our Vidigueira wines originate from one of the most distinctive and emblematic sub-regions of Alentejo, responsible for producing wines of the highest quality and strong personality. Herdade do Gamito is one of our newest projects in Alentejo. Located in Crato, in Alto Alentejo, it is a estate with unique characteristics, featuring distinct plots of high individuality, often with large granite rocks. This is one of the strongholds for developing the group's fine wine category, led by winemaker António Braga. However, the Abegoaria project in Alentejo is not just about wine. The focus on olive oils, cheeses, sausages, and ham from Barrancos marks a new phase in diversifying into other gourmet products.

OLIVE VARIETIES: Cobrançosa, Cordovil, Verdeal & Galega.

Extraction Process
Superior category olive oil obtained directly from olives from traditional olive groves, solely through mechanical processes.

Tasting Notes
It presents itself as a complex olive oil, which through the combination of four varieties of olives, acquires a ripe and sweet fruity aroma, with a slight bitterness and spice, which gives it balance and superior sensorial harmony.

Serving
Ideal as a seasoning in Mediterranean cuisine, including for salads, sausages, gazpachos, sweets, and many other delicacies.
