Collection of 18 Empire-style furniture embellishments dating to 1910–1920 and 1920–1930, made of steel, ormalu, brass and bronze, originating from France.
Description from the seller
This auction is for a collection of 18 original furniture embellishments including escutcheon key holes, lion feet, and Empire bronze plaques. The longest key hole is 27.5cm long, and 3 cm wide.
There are-
-6 steel flat cut out designed escutcheons
-one embossed brass escutcheon with grapes and a bunch of grapes design,
-a pair of bronze ormalu escutcheons with ivy leaf designs,
-and a single cast bronze ormalu escutcheon with rose design (possibly arts and crafts), with makers numbers on the rear.
-a bronze ormalu cherub from a corner fitting, some damage to the rear, but very cute
- very rare decorative bronze depicting Autumn from The Four Seasons, Louis 16th, has small hole at centre.
-set of 4 Empire lion furniture feet, bronze, in good usable condition
- bronze ormalu plaque in the form of a daisy flower, in excellent condition, 18.5cm long
-bronze ormalu plaque with leaves, in excellent condition 19.5cm long
