Ariosto - Il Negromante. Comedia - 1542

Very rare edition (the first edition is from 1535) of the comedy "The Negromancer" by Ludovico Ariosto (1474-1533), performed for the first time in 1528.
The comedy tells the story of a young man's schemes to gain entry to his beloved's home; however, the plot centers primarily on a self-styled magician who mocks the gullibility of others.
