AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Jan Adam Zandleven (Koog aan de Zaan, February 6, 1868 – July 16, 1923, Rhenen) was a Dutch landscape and still life painter. As the son of a paint manufacturer, he initially worked in his father's factory. He was denied formal art studies, so he trained as a self-taught artist. He was friends with Josef Israëls, who also advised him. Zandleven found a patron in art dealer H. P. Bremer, who supported him over the years through art purchases.
The painter worked in Koog, then in Gorssel from 1904, in Putten in 1912, and finally in Rhenen, where he had already died at the age of 55.

The fresh little picture already sparks a bit of anticipation for the next spring; it is in very good condition. It is painted on a board, with a viewing window measuring 15 x 20 cm. The frame is, as always, a free addition, but still quite attractive.
