Chess set - Dal Negro in alabastro con scacchiera in legno

Elegant Dal Negro chess set, Italian-made, dating from the late 1980s, consisting of a wooden chessboard and chess pieces in natural bicolored alabaster.

The chessboard is made of solid wood veneered material, with contrasting light/dark squares and a shaped frame; inside, it features the original storage compartment lined with green felt, divided into individual compartments for each piece, a typical Dal Negro solution for medium-high quality sets.
The pieces are turned and polished, made of light and dark alabaster, with visible natural veins that make each element slightly different from the others. The design is classic and proportioned, with elongated kings and queens, and horses sculpted in a clean and minimalist style.
