An 18th‑century King George III era sterling silver sugar shell‑shaped tongs, hallmarked 1778–1786 by silversmith Thomas Wallis I with the London Assay Office Lion Passant for 925 silver, length 15 cm, width 2 cm, net weight 43.5 g, in excellent condition.

Excellent hand crafted quality rare 18th Century King George III Era sterling 925 silver sugar shell shaped tongs,
The openwork finely hand engraved with naturalistic ornament and "H J E" initials
Hallmarked 1778-1786 Thomas Wallis I silversmith's mark, together with London Assay Office Lion Passant guarantee for 925 silver
Length 15 cm
Maximum width 2 cm
Net silver weight 43,5 grams
Condition report:
In fine circa 245 years old original condition - great patina, minor scratches and dark spots - no dings, no cracks, no repairs, as you can see in pictures that are part of the description
