Guillaume Catel, sometimes also called Guillaume de Catel, born in 1560 in Toulouse and died on October 5, 1626, in the same city, was a counselor at the Parliament of Toulouse. He also played an important role in the condemnation and execution of the libertine philosopher Giulio Cesare Vanini in Toulouse, on February 9, 1619.
