Origin: Private collection.
Suggestive snowy mountain landscape created by Davide Orler in the 1960s, a period particularly appreciated in his painting production.
The work depicts a village immersed in snow, rendered through energetic and expressive brushstrokes, with a construction of the material typical of the artist's figurative-expressionist approach.
Snow is interpreted through a thick, three-dimensional material application, which adds depth, light, and movement to the composition. This technical choice, common in Orler's productions in the 1960s, emphasizes the emotional and atmospheric character of the landscape.
On the front of the work, the date '66' appears, a brief indication commonly used by the artist, while on the back, the year '1969' is present, likely referring to a subsequent framing or archiving.
The artwork has always remained in the private collection.
On the back, there is also a label from the Orler laboratory, which reinforces the provenance and attribution.
Condition
Good state of preservation, consistent with the age of the work (1960s). The painterly surface shows a marked textural application; in one corner, a minimal and natural detachment of the paint material is visible, due to the thick layering and normal aging, without compromising the stability or readability of the work.
The original vintage frame shows typical signs of age, with more noticeable wear on the right side, as visible in the photograph.
No recent restoration.
