Description from the seller
Spectacular still life from the Andalusian school, possibly Seville, from the early 20th century, circa 1920. An artwork of exquisite quality, with very vivid colors, skillfully executed with soft and firm brushstrokes, giving a particularly warm and cheerful touch to its setting. Still lifes painted in the early 20th century were very typical of the homes of the high society of the time, adding distinction and glamour to the households that possessed them. Signed Navas, it is sold with a later frame made of carved and gilded wood, with some minor flaws. The canvas has been re-stretched for approximately 50 years. It belonged to a Seville-origin family. The dimensions of the work without the frame are 80x60 cm. It will be shipped well-packaged by an international courier.
