Publisher: Herford, Kasi, 2019. 300 pages, 260 pages, 468 pages. Silk-satin binding with original motifs: gold-colored metal plates on the front and back with a specially crafted 'Pergamento Stuck' by Fedrigoni and an identical gold stamp to the original. The facsimiles come in a high-quality ulmen wood jewelry case. 44 x 28 cm, 10 kg.
The Montserrat collection offers the opportunity to own the three most valuable and important books of hours currently on the Iberian Peninsula: all excellent examples of French and Flemish manuscript illumination from the late 15th and early 16th centuries. The collection includes the Book of Hours of Ippolita Maria Sforza by Jean Bourdichon, the Liber Horarum Rothomagensis, and the Munich-Montserrat Book of Hours by Simon Bening. All copies are richly decorated with refined miniatures and incredible marginal decoration, both created with the finest pigments and delicate gold leaf.
