Description
A gentle shiver runs across the surface—as if cold air is sweeping over a frozen landscape. 'Ice wind' is not a loud image, but one you can feel. The shades of blue blend into each other like thin layers of frost settling on a pane and slowly thawing again. Among the cool hues, a barely perceptible pink glows, like a brief flash of light in the winter sun.

The painting carries a quiet, almost breathing movement – it is not static, but in constant change. It feels as if the wind itself is moving through the colors, leaving traces that are quickly swept away again. 'Eiswind' reminds us that cold can also be alive – clear, fresh, penetrating – and that even in silence, an invisible force is at work.
