Description from the seller
pair of Tango Glass vases, artistic crystal – Germany / Central Europe, circa 1920–1935
Exceptional pair of original Tango Glass vases, made from artistic blown crystal in an intense and luminous translucent yellow color, with an elegant wavy edge finished with a fine cobalt blue line applied hot.
A stylized cylindrical body and a circular base in satin/frosted crystal, a characteristic combination of Central European Tango Glass production from the interwar period, designed to emphasize chromatic contrast and formal expressiveness. This type of piece was produced mainly in Germany and nearby regions during the 1920s and 1930s, in the context of early Art Deco and modernist design.
The use of vibrant yellow color combined with a blue trim, together with the wavy edge and the matte base, fully matches documented Tango Glas models, which are today highly valued by collectors of historic crystal and 20th-century decorative design.
Decorative pieces with a striking visual impact and growing demand in the international market, especially difficult to find as a matching pair, which significantly increases their appeal to collectors.
Dimensions: approx. 22 cm in height x 13 cm in diameter
Condition: very good overall condition, with no cracks, breaks, or visible restorations.
Quantity: a pair of vases
Notes:
Photographs are an integral part of the description; it is recommended to review them carefully.
