Edixa Reflex B a + Travemat meter finder | Analogue camera

Gorgeous rare German Edixa Reflex B a. Body only. Production started at 1954. The Edixa Reflex line went on to be West Germany’s most popular, successful, and respected 35mm film SLRs. Wirgin’s Edixa Reflex was produced for many years, and the range is therefore comprised of many models. But all of these share a similar (if not identical) basic framework – Edixa Reflex cameras are 35mm film SLRs. They use a focal plane shutter, feature the M42 Universal Screw Mount, have swappable prisms and focusing screens, feature rapid advance levers, and various degrees of mechanical sophistication depending on model. For all its quirks, I do love the Wirgin Edixa Reflex B. It’s a joy to shoot. For those of us who love classic cameras, it’s a winner. It won’t replace the daily shooter, it can’t hold a candle to more modern machines or even the best machines of its own era. But it doesn’t really need to. It’s a camera that makes you fall in love with shooting film, and for most people that will be enough. The added gravitas of its heritage helps it stand out among the countless other affordable, everyman film cameras floating around today. It was the brainchild of one of the most talented designers to craft a camera, and even if only to own a touchstone of that man’s career, the Wirgin Edixa Reflex is worth owning. It may not be the best camera, or the most collectible, or the most capable, but it’s pretty special anyway. Dimensions 145×115×53 mm Weight 763 g Camera Condition: good cosmetic condition with little wear. One dent on the top (look photos). Shutter: works reliably and accurately at every stop. The camera have an issue with mirror not come down. Misc: winding mechanism works fine Note: not tested with film but should work fine The Item exhibits minor signs of usage and wear. You might notice small imperfections such as minor wear on the metal parts. These are minimal and don't detract from the overall appearance and functionality of the item. Look carefully photos, maybe some detail is missing. Photos attached to the listing are part of this description. I describe to the best of my knowledge and belief. Since this is a private sale, I do not provide any warranty and do not offer a right of return- consider this before bidding!
