History
An IKEA-Unicef project enabled Indian women to earn a living and meet other women while their children went to school. As part of this project, workshops were created so that married women, settled in a new environment with their spouses, could meet each other.
The social aspect of this project proved to be the most relevant and the most fruitful.
Wall hangings, the result of both industrial and artisanal production, pay tribute to the work of artisans: each fabric bears the name of the woman who contributed to it. The images are inspired by Swedish tales, a nod to IKEA's origins.
