Description from the seller

Herend Fancy Dish with Heart Handle – Apponyi / Chinese Bouquet Pattern (Light Raspberry / Light Purple) – Extra Large

A rare and elegant Herend Fancy Dish with heart-shaped handle, beautifully hand-painted in the Apponyi / Chinese Bouquet pattern in light raspberry and light purple tones.
This large four-compartment serving dish is both decorative and functional, designed to become a centerpiece of the table. It is ideal for serving appetizers, sweets, pastries or tea accompaniments, and it pairs perfectly with Apponyi purple tea, coffee, espresso and dinner sets.
The famous Apponyi pattern was created for Count Albert Apponyi and first presented at the 1867 Paris World Exhibition, where Herend tableware in this decoration was used at the banquet held in honour of Emperor Franz Joseph at the Élysée Palace. The pattern is derived from an enlarged detail of the Indian Basket (Fleurs des Indes) motif and is traditionally painted by Herend masters in several colour variations, including purple (AP), green (AV), orange (AOG) and blue (AB). Internationally, the Apponyi decoration is also known as the Chinese Bouquet pattern.
Entirely hand-made and hand-painted in Hungary, this piece reflects Herend’s exceptional craftsmanship and refined porcelain tradition.

Dimensions:
Height: 12 cm
Width: 30 cm
Length: 30 cm
