Original 2024 mixed media acrylic painting by Helena Mertens, titled 'seeing sunshine', measuring 54 × 54 cm, in excellent condition, handsigned, sold with frame.
Description from the seller
Dear Sir or Madam,
For sale is this hand-painted and hand-signed painting measuring 50×50 cm from 2024 by the Düsseldorf-based artist Helena Mertens. It is a unique piece (mixed media) in like-new condition, signed on the back. The painting will be auctioned, including the pictured stretcher and the custom-made shadow-gap frame. The painting can optionally be picked up directly in Düsseldorf at the artist's studio. An authenticity certificate has been issued and will be delivered.
Note: The canvas fabric for this painting has been cut and later sewn together on the back to create a unique look and feel (see close-up photos). The fabric is therefore not stretched taut but intentionally slightly wavy.
Inspired by the magic of Southeast Asia, this artwork represents the immersion into unknown worlds and comes from the current series by the painter: 'Encountering the New, the Different, and the Yet the Same Fascinate Me and Are Central Sources of Inspiration for My Artworks.' 'Finding Peace' is a series of images in which I process special moments and phases of my stays in Asia in various formats.
