RALF ALTRIETH is a French-German painter recognized for his expressive and unique universe, at the border of figuration and abstraction.

His work, nourished by more than thirty years of creation across painting, engraving, drawing, photography, and music, is distinguished by a rare pictorial energy and a particularly sensitive language.

The indicated dimensions correspond to the artwork once mounted on a frame. The canvas includes additional margins to allow for proper re-tensioning. The buyer can entrust this mounting to their local framer.

I learned an important thing from the painting of certain painters, whom I feel close to (Basquiat, Penck, Bendix Harms, Baselitz, Garouste, Picasso...): it is radicality. I try to push painting further. Painting is something greater than myself. Radicality allows us to go further, to detach ourselves, to see more. Today, I find that by painting, I am creating myself.
