You Only Live Twice is the last novel to appear during the author's lifetime. Died in August 1964, Ian Fleming left his thirteenth novel, The Man with the Golden Gun, unfinished. You Only Live Twice is also the last title in the Blofeld trilogy after Thunderball and On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
The story begins eight months after the murder of Tracy, the girl that James Bond had just married. Bond goes to Japan to acquire a new ciphering method but first must assassinate an infamous recluse who owns a garden filled with deadly animals and poisonous plants. "The novel deals on a personal level with the change in Bond from a depressed man in mourning, to a man of action bent on revenge".

Book in very good condition with slight rounding of the corners, clear pages with minor tanning, solid binding. Black cloth. 255 pages,. Dust jacket in very good conditions too retaining bright color, little tears (less than 0.5 cm) on top spine that previous owners stopped by internally using some cell tape (as per pictures), price unclipped. First UK edition. "First Published 1964" stated on Copyright page.
