AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Two Sentani food bowls featuring characteristic Sentani motifs.

The flat dish measures 44 x 12 cm.

The narrow, deeper dish (probably for sagorupsen) comes from the collection of missionary/anthropologist F. Kamma.
F. Kamma was sent on a mission for the first time in 1931, and subsequently undertook several more journeys.
As the main mission, he was responsible for the Vogelkop and Raja Ampat areas. Afterwards, the land was donated through the heirs of F. Kamma to a foundation for Papua, and it was repurchased there.
