Description from the seller
Piero Gilardi (1942) debuted in the post-pop artistic movement of the 1960s with his nature carpets, which brought him to the forefront of the international art scene. He exhibited in Paris, Brussels, Cologne, Hamburg, Amsterdam, and New York. Starting in 1968, he paused his production to participate in the technical development of the new artistic trends of the late 1960s: *Arte Povera*, *Land Art*, *Antiform Art*. He collaborated on the realization of the first two international exhibitions of these new trends at the Sedeljik Museum in Amsterdam and the Kunsthalle in Bern. In 1969, he began a long trans-cultural experience focused on the theoretical analysis and practical application of the art-life conjunction, engaging in a decade of collective creativity activities, from psychiatric ateliers to forms of political and anthropological theater. In 1981, he resumed his artistic activity, exhibiting installations accompanied by creative workshops with the public.
