About the work:
This hand-revisited Playmobil XXL is a true collector's piece, blending street art and contemporary pop art. Every detail has been painted by hand, with meticulous work involving projections, graphic patterns, and contrasts between fluorescent green and urban gray.
On the face, the Rolex crown made with gold leaf immediately catches the eye and adds a confident touch of luxury. On the back, we discover Snoopy and Woodstock (Peanuts), also crowned, as a playful and offbeat nod to the worlds of luxury and urban culture.
Fully articulated, this 62 cm Playmobil retains its playful spirit while becoming a true work of art. A striking, unique piece that naturally finds its place in a contemporary interior, a street art collection, or a design space.
About the artist :
Originally from the Parisian suburbs, Socrate is an artist emerging from the graffiti movement. She depicts a highly contrasting universe by utilizing the raw and immediate nature of graffiti. She elevates the strength and fragility of images, primarily focusing on traits of femininity through intimate and glamorous representations.
Socrates combines an essentially masculine discipline with the elegance and sensuality of feminine aesthetics.
