This work, measuring 80 × 80 × 4.5 cm, is created on a wide, high-quality canvas and moves between painting and sculpture.
In light, the surface unfolds a clear presence. Depending on the incidence of light and viewing angle, the structure and depth change, with individual layers becoming more prominent. The work appears spatial and tangible – perception arises while walking, standing, or lingering.
Frequency Arctic— sculpture made of ice, light, water, structure, and presence.
Frequency Arctic unfolds a fresh, light-filled expanse. The blue tones evoke ice surfaces opening under clear air, reminiscent of walking slowly over frozen ground. Fine cracks and transitions create movement and lend gentle dynamism to the silence. The light seems to wander across the image, as if reflected in the ice and carried further. This creates an atmosphere of clarity, focus, and quiet confidence—a place of pause, openness, and inner balance. Broken ice becomes visible, cracks and depths emerge—and yet the surface appears smooth, almost floating. Between fragility and calm, a feeling of lightness arises, as if gliding over the ice, carried by silence and light.

Frequency Arctic
Size: 80 × 80 cm × 4.5 cm
Technology & Materials: This exceptional technique combines the use of multiple materials at different stages of the creation process. A thick layer of a special crackle medium is carefully applied in several layers along with acrylic paints. After complete drying, the surface is sealed with a clear, fully cured resin that forms a strong, transparent, glass-like layer over the underlying material.
This technique requires a high level of craftsmanship as well as comprehensive knowledge of the materials used to create the perfect surface on the canvas.
The result is a substantial, extremely high-quality surface with great depth and a brilliant, glass-like shine. Due to the materials used, the canvas weighs over 10 kg.
Frame: Wide support frame made of solid natural wood (included in the price).
Signature & authenticity: Hand-signed on the back. Delivery includes a signed authenticity certificate.
Location: Directly from the artist's studio in Vienna.
Market presence: comparable artworks are held in private collections and galleries, with prices ranging from €2,500 to €3,000.
