About GROOVIDO
GROOVIDO is a design studio that uses a unique visual aesthetic to translate creative challenges into distinctive design pieces. The studio's explorative nature compares tradition with new cultural influences, materials, colors, and production techniques by creating pieces that merge digital culture with material innovation.
The studio was founded in 2020 by Gianmaria Della Ratta (b. 1993, Italy) and Giorgio Gasco (b. 1992, Italy) after their Master’s in Contextual Design at Design Academy Eindhoven.
GROOVIDO collaborates with brands and companies to develop furniture collections and products that combine tradition with material innovation, where they integrate contemporary design narratives with industrial production.
Their designs have been showcased at several international venues, including Collectible Brussels, Alcova, Dutch Design Week, Capsule Plaza, Fuorisalone, Rotterdam Design Biennale, Venice Design Biennale, Huidenclub, HKDI Gallery, The Italian Expo Pavilion in Shanghai, and the ADI Design Museum.
