Tea caddy/ box - Porcelain - Qing (1644-1911)
Lovely pair of Chinese porcelain rose medallion tea caddies, made in Jingdezhen during the 19th century. Both vessels are decorated with two cartouches depicting figurative scenes, surrounded by plant motifs. The decoration is executed in overglaze enamels. The marked silver mountings are later Dutch additions, dating to the early 20th century.
Condition: perfect (see the photographs).
