Helmut Kriechbaum (*November 13, 1970) is an Austrian artist known especially for his work in painting and sculpture. He hails from Mettmach, Austria, and lives in Gmunden.
Education & Career
Originally active in other fields professionally: he worked as a cook and later as a psychotherapist.
Studies in psychology, psychotherapy, health sciences, and education.
He only began studying art at the University of Art Linz late, and he graduated in 2021.
Since then, he has devoted himself exclusively to art.
Artistic Work & Style
Kriechbaum primarily works as a painting and sculpture artist.
His style is partly associated with Tachisme — a gestural, expressive form of abstract painting that emphasizes spontaneous application of color.
