From impressionistic-expressionistic starting points Andersen developed early a constructive-chill, at the same time also with a certain Lyrismus full and painting effective every now and then in still life, sceneries, interiors and figure pictures whose sketchy arrangement was often maintained. The skeletal-like structure is a static, A.s Kolorismus a restrained one. His surface geometry reminds now and then of rhythmicized-abstracted forms of expression with J. Villon. Law and rule, methodology and theory (which the teacher knew to transmit fruitful) determine a work which remained to natural creation principles and orders on the track.
