Lavazza calendar (1996) by Ferdinando Scianna, signed and in its 1st edition, in Italian with a hardcover binding, 16 pages, large format 55.5 × 41 cm and supplied with a protective case.
Description from the seller
This large-format calendar (49 cm x 34 cm) Lavazza 1996, produced by Ferdinando Scianna, is exceptionally signed by the photographer. Unique and unobtainable in a signed copy, highly sought after and practically unavailable also in an unsigned copy (with a bit of luck you could pay up to €500 to find one in good condition). Six vertical black-and-white photographs, 25 cm by 37 cm, mounted on an alphabet (tab) on the calendar pages, each featuring two months. The photographs are free of any indication on the back and look very much like original prints. The calendar is presented in a black, sturdy cardboard frame with a small ribbon to open it gently, and everything is protected by a white sleeve. In excellent condition.
To realize this calendar, Ferdinando Scianna photographed, and staged, the cinema actress Maria Grazia Cucinotta, uniting the artist’s sensibility with the actress’ intensity in a strongly Italian and Mediterranean atmosphere. Thus was born a narrative of affirmed sensuality that embodies the idea of the café as a pleasure of life. (from the presentation text on the inside front page).
To view the photographic series in full screen, double-click on a photograph, then you can return to the standard display at any time.
Book from my personal collection, in excellent condition, kept with the greatest care. Very effective insured shipping and internationally trackable. In case of multiple purchases, grouped shipment is possible with a refund of any overpaid postage via PayPal.
