"Tien Shan Zen" is an artwork that celebrates the union between physical travel and spiritual ascension.
Inspired by the majestic peaks of the Celestial Mountains (Tien Shan), a vital range along the ancient Silk Road, the painting evokes the silent paths traveled not only by merchants and caravan drivers, monks and sages seeking knowledge, but also by a great traveler who is an irreplaceable part of my story. This traveler, while crossing these magical places, has done nothing but teach me, tell me, and show me their beauties. The peaks, crafted with rich textured layers, symbolize the challenges and the heights of awareness one must attain. The pure, shimmering gold on the snow directly nods to the precious treasures exchanged along the Road—not only silk and spices, but most importantly, wisdom and enlightenment. This piece invites reflection on the purity of nature and the silence needed to embark on one's inner journey.
