Description from the seller
Bronze antique boudoir mirror – Art Nouveau era – mercury-backed mirror – circa 1890–1910
Elegant antique boudoir mirror, crafted in cast bronze, dating from the Art Nouveau period, around the late 19th century – early 20th century.
The setting is richly decorated with symbolist and expressive figures, typical of the Art Nouveau aesthetic, with flowing lines and a refined sculptural composition. The overall piece exudes a strong decorative and artistic character.
The mirror is original and bears traces of oxidation characteristic of antique mercury mirrors, visible as small spots, testifying to its authenticity and age. These marks are normal for this type of antique mirror and are part of its historical patina.
The item is in good overall condition, with a beautiful bronze patina. The only thing to report is a small screw missing at the back, with no impact on stability or on its decorative appearance.
A very beautiful antique decorative piece, ideal for a classic-style interior, Art Nouveau, or for a collector of decorative arts.
