Antonio Pirozzi - Ricordo di Spagna

"Ricordo d Spagna" is an original and spectacular surrealist work, executed in oil on canvas by the Neapolitan artist Antonio Pirozzi. A piece entirely dedicated to Spain, its customs, traditions, and art, reflecting a land to which we are emotionally very attached through youthful memories. Beautiful, rich in bright colors accentuated by a perfect geometric balance of curved shapes and ovals. Antonio Pirozzi, born in Giugliano in Campania near Naples, is an architect and painter. He was trained among Neapolitan surrealist and metaphysical painters, among whom we mention Carlo Bisceglia and Antonio Nunziante. His canvases often crystallize dreamlike and unreal atmospheres, compositions of remarkable poeticity, built on absurd combinations that seem to evoke the realm of the subconscious and the arcane.
Currently, he/she lives and works in Mugnano di Napoli.
