In-4 (195 x 240 mm), (7) preliminary leaves, 150 (149) plates, (1) leaf, bound. Ivory half parchment with corners, paper-covered boards, spine smooth and unlettered. Period binding. Chips at the headcaps, one corner rubbed, substantial loss of paper on the second plate, significant tear with loss on the flyleaf.

First German translation of this important treatise by the Jesuit Jean Dubreuil (1602-1670).

The illustration comprises 149 plates (out of 150) illustrating various perspective exercises, with the explanatory page opposite.

Incomplete copy of the Gg4 folio, which includes plate 109 and the explanatory text for plate 110. Also incomplete on the last leaf of the table of contents. Large tear with loss of text on the first page of the preface.
