A Gillette travel set dating from the 1920s, of American origin but probably intended for the French market.
It is composed of:
- a Gillette 'Old Type' razor with an open-comb head with exposed teeth and a handle with diamond knurling,
- Two cylindrical containers, probably silver-plated, with perforated lids to allow better drying of the shaving brush and shaving cream; one contains the shaving brush (it sheds a few hairs) and the other the soap stick.
