Daftmill 2008 Summer Batch Release - b. 2019 - 700ml

Behold, it's the 2008 vintage Summer Batch Release for the U.K. of Daftmill single malt Scotch whisky! The spirit was made from optic barley, and six first-fill ex-bourbon barrels filled in the summer of 2008 were selected for this expression, resulting in 1,760 bottles of top-notch Lowland single malt, bottled at 46% ABV in 2019.

Nose

Fresh peaches, waves of honey, cut grass, lemon meringue pie and Sesame Snaps.
Palate

Barley sugar sweets, a whisper of black pepper, still somewhat grassy, tangy tropical fruits.
Finish

Maple syrup on pancakes, almond, and clementine.
