Description from the seller
Technique: oil on canvas
Wish Tree
Artist: Mirian Gomeli
The work Wunschbaum is a symbolic-allegorical composition that explores the inner world of humans and the theme of spiritual belief. The artist creates a fairy-tale-like visual space where desire is understood as an inner force capable of influencing reality—particularly in the context of a psychologically burdened contemporary world.
The central element of the composition, the wish tree, is adorned with rhythmically bound threads that metaphorically reflect the unity of individual wishes, thoughts, and prayers. This rhythmic structure alludes to the continuity of time as well as to the energetic, invisible connection between humans and the world, in which personal experiences transform into collective meanings.
The work is characterized by a strong emotional and semantic density and invites the viewer to an introspective engagement. It emphasizes the importance of faith, hope, and spiritual resilience.
Due to the large format of the work, it is shipped on a sturdy cardboard tube, which provides a secure transportation solution and is also an established and cost-effective method in international exhibition and auction practices.
