Per Vilt - Behind the Fence

I liked how the fence feels like both a backdrop and a quiet barrier, something that separates but doesn’t fully hide. The gesture and the half-open shirt sit in that in-between space where the body reads as both guarded and inviting. Behind the Fence plays with that ambiguity, where the figure doesn’t settle into a single story or a single way of being seen.


Originally from Canada, Per Vilt has lived and worked in Berlin, Germany, since 2007.
