Katia Rota, 'Composizione astratta', mixed media on canvas, 60 cm by 80 cm, weight 1 kg, Italy, 2025, original edition, abstract style, signed on the back, directly from the artist's studio and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
Abstract work of strong material presence, characterized by a refined chromatic tension between blue, red, and azure. The composition, built through layers and incisive marks, reveals a mature balance between gesture and structure. A significant piece in the artist's research, capable of combining expressive intensity and formal solidity. The work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and is signed on the back. It comes directly from the artist's studio. Sent on a stretcher without a frame.
Katia Rota, Italian contemporary artist, lives and works in Trieste. A former art historian, she has extensive studies in painting techniques, as well as courses in mural painting restoration and ceramics. Having stepped away from painting for several years during the 1990s, she re-entered the artistic world between 1999 and 2000 and for a few years also attended the atelier of Argentine painter Isabel Carafì. Since July 2003 she has participated in various exhibitions in Trieste and in other Italian cities. Departing from figurative, she evolves toward abstract expressionism and gestural painting that evokes landscapes and inner feelings that sometimes appear calm and serene, other times chaotic but always orderly.
