Description from the seller

This is a dynamic action painting built from rapid gestures, layered splatters, and intertwining drips — a contemporary echo of the energetic language pioneered by Pollock, yet unmistakably MiLo in tone and structure. Shades of grey, black, white, and subtle earthy undertones create a rhythmic field of motion that feels vibrant, chaotic, and controlled at the same time.

Because of its panoramic format, this piece is ideal for above a sofa, long wall, or modern interior, and it can be hung both horizontally and vertically, depending on the desired impact. Up close, the viewer discovers embedded textures, crossings, and directional tensions that give the work depth far beyond its initial explosiveness.

The work will be rolled up and shipped in a sturdy tube or box, without frame, and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.

About the artist

MiLo (1976) is an Amsterdam-based contemporary artist with a background in photography and art studies.
He has sold more than 800 original works, now residing in private collections, hotels, restaurants, and corporate spaces across Europe, the United States, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

From Pollock-inspired action pieces to geometric abstractions and textured monochromes, MiLo’s evolving practice revolves around layering, erasure, rhythm, and the tension between structure and improvisation. His works often carry traces, scratches, and concealed underpaintings that invite repeated viewing and open-ended interpretation.

MiLo is recognized as one of the most prolific and widely collected artists on Catawiki, known for consistently delivering strong, museum-quality abstractions.
