I draw this real model in Siena - Italy in April 2023. The drawing captures a quiet and intimate moment of a nude woman seen softly from the back, resting on her bed. Her posture is gentle and protective, her intimate parts are covered, while a subtle curve of her lower back suggests a quiet, restrained sensuality. Draped over her legs is a traditional Sienese fabric, richly decorated with golden floral motifs that add warmth, texture, and a sense of place to the scene.

The bed duvet seems to cradle her from all sides, wrapping her in a cocoon of softness and calm, as if the bed itself was offering comfort and shelter. Light and shadow play delicately across her skin and the folds of fabric, enhancing the feeling of stillness and quiet emotion. I am a Dutch artist traveling the world to capture people emotional fragility and scenes of life. With my pencils and camera always beside me, I seek out those intimate moments where emotion speaks louder than words — the soft glances, the unguarded gestures, the solitude we all carry.

I draw daily life scenes with a cinematic, dramatic touch:
a woman smoking alone in her kitchen at night,
a couple finding privacy in the middle of a party,
a man lost in thought on a crowded metro.

My work focuses on themes of mental health, human connection, and emotional vulnerability. I pay special attention to the eyes, posture and light — the details that reveal the real story beneath the scene.
