Description from the seller
A rediscovered masterpiece: an oil on canvas from the 19th century.
Coming from a family heirloom, this extraordinary oil painting on canvas is ready to find a new home. Purchased by my father a long time ago, it is a work that catches the eye and enchants the spirit.
It is a timeless work of art. Created in the 1800s, of English school, it could be attributed to a well-known English painter. This painting expresses the spirit of an era and at the same time preserves a freshness and vitality that make it still current. The unmistakable style, the generous dimensions of the canvas (cm. 51x76); it bears no signature but on the back, in addition to a paper label, at the bottom of the canvas it can be read that the canvas is stamped London and there are other inscriptions; all of which attest to its authenticity and importance.
The painting shown in the image is an oil on canvas in a Victorian style or of the British school from the 19th to the early 20th century. Visually similar works often depict rural scenes of the Scottish Highlands or English landscapes with a cottage and figures, attributed to artists such as Charles M.C. Kinley, Alfred Coleman, or sometimes generically referred to as the "British School". The work represents a rural landscape with a thatched-roof cottage, human figures, animals and mountains in the background, typical of landscape art of the period. The style is realist and romantic, focusing on the natural setting and country life, popular during the 19th century.
It is a versatile piece that adapts to any environment, giving it a sophisticated and refined atmosphere. Its majesty and beauty make it a focal point in any room, adding a touch of elegance and prestige. It is its details that make the difference. With a non-contemporary perimeter frame. The painting is in good overall condition, which underscores its authenticity and history.
An investment for the future not only enriches your art collection, but also makes an investment for the future. Quality artworks, especially those by established artists, tend to appreciate over time.
The shipment will be handled by a well-known tracked and insured courier, while the packaging will be done professionally and generously.
