Title

Yamada Heiando – Black Lacquer Suzuribako (Inkstone Box) – Unused – With Original Wooden Box

Description

This refined black lacquer Suzuribako (inkstone box) was produced by Yamada Heiando, one of Japan’s most prestigious lacquerware makers, officially appointed as purveyor to the Imperial Household. The minimalist black finish reflects the brand’s philosophy of timeless elegance and exceptional craftsmanship.

The piece is unused and comes with its original wooden storage box. It has been kept in long-term home storage and retains a beautiful glossy surface overall. Minor surface marks are present, consistent with storage rather than use.

Please note that the water dropper shows visible age-related discoloration and wear. Other components display small scratches, but the overall condition remains very good.

By removing the inkstone, water dropper, and internal fittings, the box can also be used as an elegant Fubako (document box), making it both functional and versatile.

Condition:
Unused; long-term stored. Minor scratches present.
Water dropper shows noticeable aging and discoloration.
