Description from the seller
Zenith, 2025. Edition 1/15.
"Zenith" is an exercise in visual balance and chromatic contrast. Created in 2025, the work uses assembled steel planes that play with the duality between pure white and vibrant red, creating a structure that seems to change weight and shape depending on the viewer's perspective.
The piece is notable for its geometric arches, where a vertical red plane with a circular top intersects curved white planes, evoking a sense of a portal or abstract architectural structure. It is an exploration of three-dimensionality that seeks harmony between the straight, technical line and the softness of the organic curve.
37x37x17cm.
Made by the Spanish sculptor Pedro Rey (1977), his artistic career began as a self-taught artist in 1998, after passing through several learning workshops such as painting, photography and sculpture, he decided to focus his work on this.
last, sculpture has acquired all the prominence in his work in recent years.
Competitions where he has been selected:
-2020. Selected for the Askatasunarte International Contest,
-2021. Selected for the 25th Pere Jou Sculpture Competition.
-2023. Selected for the 17th City of Badajoz Sculpture Prize.
-2024. Shortlisted for the 61st Queen Sofia Prize.
