An ivorine wall console dating from 1900–1910, made of resin, measuring 17.5 cm wide by 14 cm high and 7.5 cm deep, with the front signed by G. Ruggert and the original Van Borus Amsterdam label on the back.
Description from the seller
Very decorative wall console made in ivorine, richly worked with two playful putti that appear to be carrying the top. The console features classic ornaments such as scroll volutes, floral details, and a refined edge finish. The soft ivory color and the detailed relief give the piece a warm, sculptural appearance.
On the front, the console is signed G. Ruggert, indicating an artist or workshop that worked in a Neoclassical tradition. On the back is the original label of Van Borus, Vijzelstraat 73, Amsterdam, a well-known art and interior shop from the early 20th century. This reinforces the provenance and authenticity of the piece.
The console is intended as a wall-mounted piece and suitable for placing a small sculpture, vase, or other decorative object. Combining artisanal quality with a classic design, it is a striking piece for both traditional and eclectic interiors.
