Valentin Prévot's work is realistic and figurative. Through his drawings and paintings, he engages in a political and identity research process about his history and that of his family. His current artistic work aims to pay tribute to him but also to ensure his ideas and his journey endure, anchoring them in time.

Using portraits, paintings/drawings, and a desire to understand and make this history one's own, Valentin has been working for several months on a series of 'graphic objects' and installations aimed at complementing this archive, adding his perspective, sensitivity, and voice as an artist.

Some of his works draw inspiration from Schiele, Kokoschka, and also from German expressionists such as Dix and Grosz. The questions of transmission and intergenerational trauma form the central theme of his work. Valentin understood that, through this story, he could address all the subjects that personally matter to him, topics such as the question of identity, the work of inquiry and transmission, and ideological, philosophical, and political excesses...
