Description from the seller

IMPORTANT!!!!
The artwork has been created in oil on canvas—93 x 100 cm—without a frame (to reduce shipping costs, it has been made without a frame and will be shipped rolled in a cardboard tube). On each side, the canvas has a 5 cm border that will allow it to be mounted further on a frame at the buyer's expense.

“The Escape”

A symbolic ride toward one’s own dream, ideal, or goal. The human figure and the horse move forward as a single entity, expression of the becoming of the human spirit: an interior journey guided by instinct, aspiration, and the desire for transcendence.

My painting arises from a constant dialogue between instinct and construction. Painting, for me, is an act of discovery: a search that begins with the physical, bodily gesture, but quickly opens to broader interior and temporal dimensions.

The through-line running through my works is the subtle link between the visible and the invisible, between matter and spirit, between outer form and inner content. Each figure I paint seems to emerge from a threshold: it is there, present, and yet on the verge of vanishing.

Memory plays a central role in my work: not as simple recollection, but as an intersection of times, experiences, images. My paintings are often constructed as stratifications — as if they gathered what was, what is, and what could have been.

In this sense, painting becomes a temporal crossroads, a place where bodies, shadows, dreams, and remnants meet. A gesture that tries to hold back, even if only for a moment, something that is on the verge of disappearing.
