Alms dish - Brass - 17th century - Adam & Eve

An alms plate dating from the 16th or 17th century, made of copper, a true rare piece for serious collectors. In the center stands a detailed biblical depiction of Adam and Eve beside the Tree of Knowledge, surrounded by dense vegetal ornament and grape clusters symbolizing abundance and original sin. The rim is adorned with a punched band of geometric and floral motifs, while the back shows authentic hammer-work marks and a hook for display.

The plate shows wear, including signs of aging, which are an unequivocal guarantee of its complete originality and characterize the so‑called patina of time that makes it even more precious for true collectors, and for this I would define it as being in excellent condition.
