Superb large decorative lamp in Italian porcelain (probably Capodimonte school), dating from the 1950s/60s, depicting an elegant pair of exotic birds with wings spread. The decoration is finely modeled and highlighted with shiny enamels in pink, plum, and pearl gray tones, with subtle touches of gold.

The foot bears a punch mark in the shape of a stylized ship, typical of certain post-war Italian manufacturers specializing in high-quality artistic porcelain.

The original lampshade, made of stretched fabric with pleated trim and fringes, emits a very soft, warm light and perfectly highlights the silhouette of the birds. A true decorative piece that adds character and elegance to a classic, romantic, or Hollywood Regency interior.
