Description from the seller
THE STORY BEHIND
In this landscape-format oil painting, a young woman rides a horse, although her figure is partially outside the frame, giving the animal center stage. The horse moves slowly along a soft dirt road dotted with puddles, splashing water as it walks, an effect that the artist enhances to give the scene dynamism. The atmosphere is cold and gray, with a soft light enveloping the composition. The dark silhouette of the horse contrasts with a light background, worked with glazes and textures that add depth. The color palette is reduced to shades of gray, except for a detail in green on the saddle and the rider's sweater, which introduces a subtle but significant note of color. This color choice reinforces the serenity of the scene and the introspective nature of the moment captured.
