Pendant medallion crafted from a Napoléon III 20 francs gold coin (1867), in 22 carat gold with a total weight of 8.20 g, mounted in a round decorative bezel with a corded edge and a fixed bale, in excellent condition with minor wear and no laboratory report, origin France.

Gold 20-franc coin pendant – Napoleon III (1867) mounted as a medallion.
Charming antique pendant made from a genuine Napoléon III 20 franc gold coin, dated 1867, set in a medallion with an ornate mounting.
The piece is visible front and back:
• on the obverse, the laurelled profile of Napoleon III with the caption 'NAPOLEON III EMPEROR',
• on the reverse, the arms of the French Empire topped by the imperial crown, surrounded by the legend 'EMPIRE FRANÇAIS' and the denomination '20 F' with the date 1867.
The round setting accentuates the piece with a scalloped, corded edge, giving a beautiful relief effect, with a movable bail allowing the pendant to be worn on a thin or medium chain.
