Description from the seller

The riza is in good antique condition, showing wear, surface patina, and minor losses consistent with age and long-term ecclesiastical use. The original silver plating is partially worn, as expected for an object of this period. No structural damage is observed.

No restorations or later alterations are known. The riza retains its original hand-hammered form and mounting elements.

The riza dates to the late 18th – early 19th century (circa 1780–1810). Due to its complex multi-figure composition, such icon covers were typically produced as individual commissions for specific icons or churches, making surviving examples uncommon.
